Woodpecker

Today I am going woodpecker mad, it seems! Here is a photo of one which was pecking about in our garden a while back. I do so like their colours and mannerisms. So much so, I have just posted a watercolour of a woodpecker, which I painted, on http://heathersprinkles.blogspot.com

Rabbits in the Snow

It is not snowy here at the moment, but I took this picture during a snowy period last year and just wanted to share it. :)

Jemima

A beautiful cloth doll and her homemade bed made with love from a cherished older lady to her doted on great-granddaughter, a number of years ago.

Do-It-Yourself? No, This Is Cut-It-Yourself!

C.I.Y.!
I have a strange habit of hacking my own hair about when I want to go to the hairdressing salon but have not got the time. Needless to say, it speeds up the need to be getting myself there afterwards!!:)))) I also suffer from chronic indecision about whether or not to have a fringe, so sometimes I'll try to cut one of those, too. Oops!

Beyond the Trees...

...is a field; beyond the field are more trees; beyond those trees is a lane; beyond the lane is the end of the rainbow!:)

This One's Different...A Bit!

Yes, I know, my obsession with February sunsets continues. But this one is a little different! Sort of.:))))

"Gemini" Trees

These dead trees have been nicknamed the "Geminis" because of their roughly symmetrical shape. I loved the idea of photographing them at different times to see how they looked in front of different backgrounds.

Rook On A Roof - Well, Nearly!

When I first saw this rook he or she looked to be sitting on the shadow of the chimney, and this amused me. However, before I could click he/she had had the audacity to move!!:))))

Valentine Skies

In February, the skies here are often strikingly dark pink and stripey just after sunset in a way that they are not at other times of the year. It can be such a treat among the dull, grey days thta can also be so prevalent this time of year.

Document By Drawing What You Meant!

I love stationery and art materials, and I always have done. This tin of new unsharpened pencils is a tin full of promise as far as I'm concerned. In this tin lies the potential for creating new, original pictures and the opportunity to document subjects around me which I have already been surrounded by.

September Sunsets

Another out of season post, but I have been looking through some of my photos from last year and finding ones I really like but haven't used for anything. So here we go...

Roses

I realise these are a bit out of season, but they kind of were last summer, too. I have a feeling I may have already posted at least one photo of a rose from last summer. But I think they're so pretty that I couldn't resist posting more again when I came across these. They actually appeared early in the summer last year, died off and then came back again. A bit like my rose photos!:))))
